Ex-Offender Policy

Policy Statement

Executive Airports LTD is a Transport for London (TfL) licensed Private Hire operator and is committed to fair treatment and equality of opportunity. We support the rehabilitation of ex-offenders and will not unfairly discriminate against any individual on the basis of a criminal conviction or caution. This policy complies with Transport for London (TfL) Private Hire Operator Licensing requirements.

Scope

This policy applies to operator staff who take bookings and/or dispatch vehicles on behalf of Executive Airports LTD.

Private Hire Drivers

Private Hire drivers are licensed directly by Transport for London (TfL). As part of the TfL licensing process, drivers are required to obtain and maintain a valid Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which is assessed and monitored by TfL. Executive Airports LTD relies on TfL's licensing decisions regarding driver suitability.

Staff DBS Checks

In line with TfL requirements introduced on 1 July 2024:

• Executive Airports LTD maintains a register of all staff who take bookings and/or dispatch vehicles.

• Staff on this register are required to obtain a Basic DBS check.

• Only convictions that are not protected or filtered under current legislation will be considered.

Assessment of Criminal Records

Having a criminal record will not automatically prevent employment. Any disclosure will be assessed fairly, taking into account:

• The nature and seriousness of the offence

• Its relevance to the role

• The time elapsed since the offence

• Evidence of rehabilitation

Safeguarding and Public Safety

Executive Airports LTD recognises its responsibility to protect passengers, including children and vulnerable adults. All decisions are made with regard to public safety and TfL safeguarding expectations.

Confidentiality

Any information relating to criminal records is handled securely and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR.

Review

This policy is reviewed regularly to ensure continued compliance with TfL requirements.
